The technique involves pressing certain points on your fingers in order to relieve stress. According to ancient Japanese healers, each of our fingers is associated with some kind of emotion. The thumb is related to anxiety and worry, the index finger with fear, while the middle finger corresponds to rage and anger. The ring finger is associated with depression, while the pinky is related to self-esteem and optimism.
The goal of the technique is to balance the opposing forces in the body – in this way, you will balance your emotions as well. Take one finger and wrap it around the next, and press each in the next one or two until you feel a pulse. By pressing your palm with the fingers from your other hand and holding for a minute, you’ll be able to balance your body and heal your emotions.
