We all use salt in our meals on a daily basis, but no one is truly aware that salt has many more uses besides being a common addition to our meals. Adding a few tablespoons of salt in your shampoo and washing your hair with the mixture can reduce the oiliness of your hair and make it look great like never before.
Here are some salt uses you probably weren’t aware about:
Add a couple tablespoons of salt in a cup of olive oil, then rub your legs with the mixture in order to make the skin soft and smooth.
Add 2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt in ½ a cup of coconut oil and rub your body with the scrub to exfoliate your skin.
Besides being a great natural exfoliator, salt has numerous health benefits as well. For example, if you’re often suffering from headaches and migraines, add a teaspoon of sea salt in water and drink the mixture to stop the pain in 15 minutes. To accelerate the healing of minor cuts and wounds, put 2 teaspoons of sea salt in water then rub the mixture on the injured area.
Although beneficial, experts recommend against frequent salt consumption, especially if you’re suffering from high blood pressure.
